So, for those who don't know our game’s rich past, and how it got us to where 
we are today, all you really need to know is the four big milestones of lacrosse 's development. 
From its early origins, to its 
rise in the 19th for European colonies. Lacrosse may be America's oldest competitive sport, but in Montgomery County, The sport is in it's infancy. Lacrosse is played on a field 110 yards long and 60 yards wide. similar in strategies to ice hockey and soccer. At opposite ends of the field, the targets are set such that the plane of the open target in 15 yards from the end line. Every goal is six feet tall, six feet wide and supported by a net. The target is surrounded by a circle called the crease. Lacrosse is one of the most aggressive sport to play in the world. Lacrosse games are split into four periods of 15 minutes, while high school and youth league games are split into four periods of 10-12 minutes each If at the close of regulation, the score is tied, there is a five-minute intermission, then play begins, Two overtime periods of five minutes each are granted. At the conclusion of overtime, if the score is tied, is called a draw.
